Following on from the success of the Southfield Park School, Ellis & Moore once again worked with the Carl Fisher Partnership (cfp) to design another entirely new primary school in Tatsfield, Surrey.
The £5.6 million school is located on an extremely sensitive site within green belt land, and cfp's design moulds the school to the existing landscape by working with the contours of the sloping site. Much thought has been given to the internal layout of the building which has been the subject of detailed consultation with the school staff, governors and parents. The sectional arrangement, elevational treatment and proposed green roof reflect our commitment to an environmentally conscious design approach, and renewable energy sources are being considered as a fundamental part of the scheme.
