Phil joined Ellis + Moore in 1994 after building his experience and knowledge base working for a number of engineering practices in the UK and abroad. His experience includes the design of large clear span industrial and leisure facilities, including several hotel leisure centres with swimming pools. He quickly rose to an Associate in 1997, before becoming a Director. During his time at Ellis + Moore, Phil has worked on a range of projects for public and private clients, including housing, education, retail, leisure and commercial facilities. Phil works with a range of clients across the public and private sectors. In the public sector, he works with local authorities, housing associations, schools and contractors on providing a range of residential, mixed use and educational facilities. He counts the Stirling Prize short-listed Darbishire Place, and the RIBA Prize awarding winning Nile Street amongst his projects. He also uses his experience gained in Australia on heavy industrial and marine structures working with clients on the provision of steel industrial buildings and platforms.
