The first new primary and infant school for Surrey County Council in twenty years, designed to exemplar standards for others to follow. The design integrates all the functions of a modern school with provision for planned expansion. The structure comprises steel and glulam frames. Of particular interest are the unique glulam ‘trees’ in the foyer and the feature glulam beams over the main hall that also incorporates the readily identifiable passive roof ventilators.
