Trafalgar Square Menorah | London

We were contacted by the Hendon House of Chabad to assist them in the design and procurement of a 9 meter high Menorah to be displayed annually on Trafalgar Square during the Chanukah Holiday. We undertook the structural design, based directly on the artists sketches and model, to an extremely tight deadline. We then advised the client on the steel fabricators to use and, working closely with them, oversaw the implementation of this design. The Menorah, comprising 10 tonnes of structural steelwork, was erected to programme on 4th December 2007, some six weeks after the initial approach to ourselves and was formally lit by the Mayor on Tuesday 11th December 2007 in what is to become an annual event.
