Lachlan McDonald Lachlan has been a partner (now director) at Ellis & Moore since 1981 with over 30 years’ experience with consulting engineers. Early work with a local authority involved the design of motorway bridges in Scotland followed by the design and detailing in all structural materials of a wide variety of building projects. Lachlan was Resident Engineer for a period of three years on a large housing project in London involving reinforced concrete and loadbearing brickwork. Since 1973 Lachlan has been involved in the design and detailing of large precast structures, in situ structures in the Middle East including some heavy civil engineering. In recent years he has concentrated on the design of new buildings and refurbishment projects in London. More recently Lachlan has led the practice in the development of sustainable construction, use of reclaimed materials and timber frame cassette system construction. |

Harry Mourdjis Harry became a partner (now a director) at Ellis & Moore in 1998 having joined the practice in 1990. He has in excess of 30 years hands-on experience in design, detailing and project management as a Consultant Engineer. His experience includes refurbishment and new build projects as well as structural condition surveys, feasibility and pre-planning studies. He has dealt successfully with challenging brown-field sites incorporating underground tunnels, over-ground railways, canals & public sewers and is conversant with their respective requirements and procedures. His wide-ranging experience encompasses most building types including retail, residential, offices, industrial health care and educational buildings. Harry has worked with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and private developers and has extensive knowledge of contract procedures. Recently, Harry was instrumental in the tercentennial major refurbishment of Fortnum & Masons and a four year Framework providing new build and refurbished Primary Schools for Surrey County Council. Since 2003 Harry has also been responsible for the Practice Finances. |

Philip Deane Phil graduated in 1985 and has since worked in Consulting Engineering practices in the UK and Australia. Joined Ellis & Moore in 1994 and became an Associate in 1997 and Partner in 2003, latterly a Director in 2011. Since joining has worked on a range of projects for public and private clients including housing, retail, leisure and commercial facilities. |
