Graduate Structural Engineer

Ellis and Moore is an award winning Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy, specialising in the design of building structures and the associated civil engineering infrastructure.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced  graduate engineer based at our offices adjacent to Finchley Central tube station in North London. During the current pandemic situation, home working measures are in place.

Our growing workload primarily in the design of residential projects for both the public and private sectors, though spanning education, healthcare, leisure and industrial projects means that we now wish to expand our team of structural engineers to assist in the design of projects ranging from £50,000 to in excess of £300 million. We use the latest design software ranging from elemental design packages to advanced 3D finite element modelling and 3D draughting using Revit.

You will, under supervision, be involved in the design and detailing of structural elements in all of the major structural materials including concrete, steel, timber and masonry.

Initially working alongside a senior engineer, you will progress with experience to independent design of large structural frames for multi-storey projects primarily located in London and South East England.

The candidate should have a degree in civil/structural engineering with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience and an interest in the design of Building Structures. We work with some of the top architectural practices in the country and have recently worked on projects nominated for the Stirling Prize.

We offer a competitive salary with contributory pension, a friendly and supportive working environment in a young vibrant office, and the chance to grow and develop with the role.

We are an approved company for training under agreement with the Institution of Civil Engineers and our training agreement together with our varied and challenging workload provides the ideal foundations for sitting the IStructE exams. To help you achieve chartered status you will be working under our senior chartered engineers.

Ellis and Moore is an equal opportunities employer.
